Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do You Have A View?

Yes and No. While we are located a short one minute walk from the beach, there are no tables in the restaurant that offer a view while seated. However, from the upstairs dining room one can see the waves crashing at the end of Harrison Street while standing. It’s a good peak a boo view on your way up or down the stairs or while waiting for the restroom.

  • Is Little Yellow House a Historic Landmark?

Yes! Historical Landmark No. 19.  The Little Yellow House was built C. 1910.  It first offered goat cart rides and served as a residence before becoming a motel and restaurant.  In the 1980s, former Cannon Beach Mayor Joe Police opened Pulicci’s Italian Restaurant.  It was last sold in 2005 to Chef John Newman.

  • What's The Vibe?

Our vibe is date night and special occasion oriented.

You’ll be seated in soft lighting, with understated romantic music, while being transported back in time to a place that doesn’t exist on the Oregon Coast today.  You will have fresh roses and candles with real flames on the table.  Our experienced service team will make you feel special and help you select the perfect wine or beer to compliment the food you are about to enjoy.

  • What's Your Dining Space Like?

Upon entering the front door to Little Yellow House, you will enter the main dining room.

Should you be seated in our upstairs dining room, you will be escorted to the rear of the building where you will ascend 12 stairs to our second dining room.  There is a restroom upstairs so guests will only need to use the stairs upon arrival and departure.  Should a guest have mobility concerns, they will be asked upon making a reservation if they have preference to be seated in the downstairs dining room.

  • What should you expect when dining at the Little Yellow House?

Josh and Kendra live across the street, but spend more time at Little Yellow House. Therefore, you may hear raucous sports celebrations from the kitchen (Hopefully, not during your 50th anniversary toast!), random laughter, and unexpected, but amazing camaraderie that comes from meals being served in a home by family. We are family and you will see, hear it, and feel it when you dine with us.

  • Yellow House Gives back:

Kendra and Josh are very passionate for individual and personal reasons, as well as the entire team, that we do good locally.  We are particularly passionate about the Cannon Beach Food Bank and all animal nonprofits.  Look for giving opportunities with us on social media or ask your server when you visit.
